RHS - KR OHYJA BLANK FORM

A reader by the name of "Rider Asakura" requested for more info on one of my Rider Hero Series Kamen Rider Ohyja blank form. Well Asakura, this is for you hope you like it.

Only 1 advent card were included, no weapons and the card deck is blank on the belt.

RHS - Kamen Rider RYUKI

Started watching Kamen Rider again when i stumble upon the 1-shot of "Kamen Rider Ryuki : 13 Rider" vcd by accident. From there on, i was hook by the series and the new unique design of all the rider feature in the show. Later on, i found those RHS (Rider Hero Series) Sofubi in departmental store which was selling at RM39.90 each! That was in 2002 and was slowly accumulating them 1 by 1. Finally complete them all in 2005 with the last figure of RYUGA which i got it from Singapore.

Now i present the complete (excluding Japan Limited editions) Kamen Rider Ryuki RHS. Consisting of all the 13 riders, 1 Alternative Zero, 2 Survive Mode rider, 2 Blank Form rider and a 2pcs boxset Special Editions.

Front View of the packaging (Japan version) with numbering from 41-47 (for Ryuki series). Number 40 and below belongs to previous Show (Previous RHS post ). Each packaging showcase the Rider photo and its name on it. Plastic windows on the packaging also show 3/4 of the rider figure in it, which allow collector like me to choose the figure with the best paint job. With a $40 price tag on it, i wanna get the best looking Rider without defect.

The limited edition 2 pack consisting of Ryuki VS Ryuga was an unexpected find. Wasn't sure to get it then but am sure glad i did. Ryuki in this boxset feature a transparent Red as compare to the single box which is solid red. The Ryuga is a variant of the single box where the shoulder shield is attached. Both Ryuki and Ryuga comes with its Sword.

The Ohyja Blank form is a limited edition whereby it is grey in color. In the movie, Ohyja  card deck was destroy thus killing its contract monster and revert Ohyja to its Blank form.

Am glad that ive manage to complete this series and am satisfied with the result. Once display, they looks stunning. Kamen Rider Ryuki would be my favorite rider series. Thanks for looking.

In 2005 during the airing of Kamen Rider Hibiki TV series, 3 special limited edition of Rider Hero Sofubi (RHS) was release via Japan magazine namely HobbyHyper and Kings magazine.

This series original release in 2006 in Japan and some in Asian country and re-release again for the Asian and international market with difference packaging in 2008. Japan number sequence from RHK01-16 and EX while the re-release version do not have any number sequence as all the packaging are the same.

From the pics, some of my collection are in Japan Packaging and some are in the re-release packaging. So there are not complete, will try to find japan packaging which look like this for some of mine which is not in japan packaging. 8 out of 19 are in re-release packaging. Here are the original japan packaging.

Rider Hero Series

RIDER HERO SERIES (RHS)

The RHS is a Soft Vinyl 6 inch figure featuring Kamen Rider Character. This series was started way back in the 90's if i'm not mistaken and have been release with difference repackaging since then. Each of the figures come with a character cards and sometimes with a weapon as well. Figure have very limited articulation as cut joint only on both shoulder and waist. The design of the figure are rather FLAT and not much in proportion until the "Shin" Rider / Doras figure. From there onwards, the design / mould for the new rider have been improve greatly.

The series was number in sequences as listed below with some "EX" inserted in between :-

#01 to 10 (classic series Rider 1 to ZX)
#11 to 15 (Rider Black and RX Black series)
#16-19 (Rider J, ZO, SHIN & DORAS)
#20-28 (Kuuga Series)
#29-40 (Agito Series)
#41-47 (Ryuki Series)

"EX" are those NOT MAIN character in the series and only appear briefly.



Right after the Ryuki series(#47), before the beginning of a new Rider series, the RHS series got a production overhaul. A slight difference packaging art and with some of the character being taken out. The number of figure have cut down from 47 to 28. Most of the main character from 01-19 is remain, the number of figure cut is from KUUGA, AGITO and RYUKI series.

With that being done, each new RIDER Series onwards (2003) do not follow the sequencial numbering but rather the new series numbering such as the following : -

2003 - Kamen Rider FAIZ (RHF01 - 05, EX)
2004 - Kamen Rider BLADE (RHB01 - 07, EX)
2005 - Kamen Rider HIBIKI (RHH01 - 05, EX)
2006 - Kamen Rider KABUTO (RHK01 - 16, EX)
2007 - Kamen Rider DEN-O (RHD01 - 06, EX)
2008 - Kamen Rider KIVA (RHSKV01 - 06, EX)

Later the HONG KONG version release (2007) spot another difference packaging whereas all the character will have the same packaging graphic to them as appose to the JAPAN version where each character will have its own packaging. (Detail in an upcoming post soon)
